GENERAL
- Ability to have at least four master effects plus four more insert effects.
- Add built-in Wi-FI which let you get rid of the cable which connect your tablet with keyboard.
- Add confirmation screen when pressing POWER OFF so in case it was pressed by mistake we have a chance to save from unwanted shutdown.
- Add counter on screen: UP/DOWN for when FADE is working.
- Add possibility in Global - Midi - Midi outputs to select a live track (for instance Up3) in combination with a player track (for instance Player 1, track 3) so that you don't have to change this manually each time you change from recording to playing back your recording.
- Add status of 'Split' 'Rhythm Lock' 'Intro/Vari ABCD' 'Pedals' to 'MY SETTINGS' button, even better, add a tab in global to let players choose what settings to store in MY SETTINGS button.
- Audio over USB.
- Auto power off, add selectable time (0-99).
- Damper/Sustain/cross-fade when changing voices during play while changing voices or when changing to a new keyboard set. Now, if the volumes are different, you will hear an immediate rise or lowering of volume when you press the new Kbd setting. The original voice (at its original volume setting) that was played during a sustain should remain in control until the damper pedal is released.
- Digital clock in main screen header (12/24 hour)
- Display which USER set file is loaded
- Double tap button to go back a menu level (in Global and other menus with sub-menus) instead of pressing another button 'MENU' (when in Global) etc. which may not be intuitive to many users. (in Global, pressing exit then Global again only goes back to same Sub-menu...)
- Higher resolution screen like KROME, but EASY to press buttons please!
- Faster power up (it takes a little over 1 minute and 10 seconds now. For comparison, the new Yamaha Genos flagship arranger boots in 20-30 seconds.)
- File management through a Korg app for administrating/moving/combining styles, sounds, STS, samples, etc...
- Function for pads that let them act as pads on Oasys/M3, in the way that when you press button pad shot a complex chord while is pressed and stops when you lift it. If this is not possible, perform and upgrade that let use (as in Kronos) the keypad to shot complex chords.
- Increase Polyphony
- Longer files names(!)
- Minimum 16 USER FX
- More RAM Memory
- Optional pedal assignment saved to Songbook and/or the option to assign the volume pedal slot to the other features
- Overhaul of the Digital Drawbar section, improved Leslie effects.
- Right hand arpeggiator (like Genos or Motif). Maybe this can be implemented in the Ensemble function? It's already in KAOS, but would be nice if you could store an arpeggiator of your choice to your KBD Sets, to spice things up.
- Software button to Freeze soundsets (STS) so one can move freely to different styles without changing STS. True one can disable the hardware STS Mode button but a 2nd freeze STS on screen will make it easier and more intuitive for some players.
- Some form of DAW integration/ VST integration.
GLOBAL
- Add ‘Variation Lock’ to Global>General Controls>Style so loading another style doesn’t also change variation (unless unlocked).
- Add more global parameters to the keyboardsets and/or style parts, so they can or can't be be overridden when you choose a style. To mind comes, pedals including the EC5 pedal, Assignable sliders, But also style related things like fingering type.. Make it so that basically a style and keyboardset come without preferences, so the user needs to set them... When a parameter is set in both, STYLE > KEY SET > GLOBAL It would work well for most global parameters.
- Add option to set Time or Beats for FADE IN/OUT.
- Allow double-tap of Global button to go back a menu level inside Global instead of having to press another button ('MENU') on the other side of the keyboard to get back to main Global menu. (This was also mentioned above in General.)
- In global/mode preferences/style 2/Velocity control: Pad 1, 2, 3, 4 on/off.
- Move the EC5 settings from Global to Songbook, including switch settings too. Only having 5 switches for the whole of a night’s entertainment makes the pedals only partly usable. BUT, I would like to go one further and also add to the list of settings a special ‘Multi’ option, which allows you to assign a string of buttons, possibly by holding the ‘shift key’. E.g. hold the shift key, whilst pressing fill3, then kbset4, then transpose+. All these would then occur with the single press of a pedal. This type of sequence is commonly used for the last verse of a song, and to do it live, without hitting a wrong button, can be challenging.
- Option to have Group A FX to output 1+2 and the inserts fx from A to group B
HARDWARE/DESIGN
- Adding additional panel back-light (like the GEM WK8). Very practical in live performance with a bad stage/location lighting's condition.
- More RAM!
KAOS 2
- Add one that switches style channels off one by one; One from left to right; the other from right to left (basically one switches drums mute...then percussion and so on
- Allow HOLD on finger spot by dwelling in a spot more than x seconds (allow this option ON/OFF in global).
- An option to crossfade between the style and the pads.
- For all those settings like density where the pa4x actually remebers the last setting, it would be great to see the last setting on the screen.
- Remember selection for next time loading Kaos2.
Where the other starts with acomp 5 then 4 and all down to just letting drums sound.)
KEYBOARD SETS (STS)
- Ability to save independent vocal presets within keyboardSet like it was in korg pa3x. Now there is no way to use 2 different vocal presets with that had been programmed for one song.
- When in global interface and keyboard set library auto select is on, option to only auto-select keyboards sets when push *physical buttons* STS on keyboard and not when you browse keyboards sets from screen.
- When switching trough keyboard set banks with USER/DIRECT button (factory, user, direct) to remember last selected set in each 3 groups. Now it always select first bank.
-Ability to highlight a sound in the Keyboard Set and have an edit button that would bring up the sound for edit with all the other related sounds (the other active sounds in the STS) playing so the sound could be mixed with the set of sounds. As it is I have to go to "Sounds" and find the sound, go to menu to find a button that will show me another button that will allow me to modify the sound. Then I have to guess what the mix is going to sound like. (Can do this on 20 year old Kurzweil K2000 and on 18 year old General Music (Italian) SK76 arranger. why not on the Pa4x?
MIC
- Mic EQ preset -- Save EQ settings, multiple options.
- Mic talk overlap -- overlap 0-10 seconds between singing and speech switching
MIDI
- Sync FADE IN/OUT with Midi protocol on channel midi OUT CONTROL CC# 7 (channel Volume). Now is only analog global internal audio Fade, means is no way to Fade together with other connect instruments.
- Enable Synchro Start and Synchro Stop to be controlled through midi
- Korg app for midi editing (in .kar files lyrics and chords integration and editing)
- Make it possible when you play a midifile with everything in, chords,and also a chordtrack 6 tones polyfone the pads will only sync drums with the midifile not the sound(chords) now I must do it with midi in en out.
- Fix Midi Out CHORD channel, now is not working correctly, if you use Chord sequencer, is not working at all, is only passing notes playing on scanning keys. Should send same chord like is on display, same is playing,... chord means chord,..not pressing notes on Lower. Very useful for people wants to use external voice processors or external arpeggiator.

SEQUENCER
- 16-track AUDIO sequencer with event editing similar of the MIDI sequencer, also insertion, copying time from the region, adjusting the time of the region, adjusting the volume of each region.
- 16-track MIDI sequencer + 16-track AUDIO sequencer. the latter with the ability to edit events such as (CTRL, COPY OF TRACKS, DELETE OF MEASUREMENTS, MODULATION, TRANSPOSE, TEMPO TRACK, COPY OF THE REGION, DELETE THE REGION, COPY FROM SONG) possibility of mixing MIDI and AUDIO sequences.
- Ability to add notes when saving a song
- Direct access to the SongBook while in Sequencer mode - Quick record.
- Make the active KBD Sets visible in the screen when using the Sequencer - Quick record function.
- Lyrics Editor.
- Ability in the quick record section of the sequencer to record additional 'keyboard sets' when creating a midi song with an edit function so that once you have played your main part with the first 'keyboard set' you can select the next one. At the moment the work around is going to sequencer mode and having to select a sound and copy the effects using multitrack recording
SONGBOOK
- Add a Play All button.
- Add an ‘Automatic Songbook Style List’ listing ALL the styles available in both factory and user slots, with genre, time signature and tempo. This list should automatically update when adding or deleting a style.
- Add option to lock songbook style change so when sometimes we need just keyboards sets from songbook, we can select it in songbook without changing style.
- In search screen to go to main page or selected item after select entry.
- Select multiple songs as on the pa3x.
- Select tab for select songbook entry... also it would be nice to set TRK SEL button to do this job while in songbook screen.
- In songbook/ preferences/ Columns, option Name-Artist-Key-M.Transp.
- When making songbook entries and change styles to make new entry, keep genre and artist from last entry ottherwise we have to write manualy them for every new song which are the same genre or artist.

STYLES
- Ability to switch to play styles without any delay while fading off the MP3 files that are playing.
- Allow more than 2 chord variations in style fills and intros.
- Allow volumes of STS's to be written to style when 'writing current settings to style' instead of having to change volumes (and then save) for each of the 4 STS individually in the style.
- Assignable aftertouch as an additional source to control style ( ie. Transitions between variations) also as an drop down list option for the fill mode.
- Copy/Paste whole Keyboard Sets between Styles (now you can only save one set of the four to another style at a time...long and tedious to move all 4 sets inside a style to another style).
- Direct Access improvement: Ability to play Styles directly (containing Samples/Waves without loading them into Ram memory) from any media like USB flash drive, SD card.
- DAW-like style editing environment.
- In style play mode>volume adjustments, to allow mute a track (or all) with a virtual button (maybe tapping the track name or the green dot on top right of virtual slider? Or a new ‘M’ below it) so we can mute any track and focus on the volume of one track at a time.
- Multi PAD 'Synchro Start'
- Option for a half bar fill
- Quick record button working directly (one push of the Record button) when in Style play mode, with the screen unchanged. Well, maybe a red 'REC' icon flashing that you are recording.
- Real arpeggiator(s)
- Playback "from-to" range selector in Style Record mode. It's useful in particular if you have a long Intro/Ending ...you make some changes to bar 18 or whatever and don't want to keep hearing the whole thing from bar 1.
- Smart chord feature, where it fills the chords for you.
- Style recommender like some Yamaha keyboards have. With that feature you play a pattern and it automatically finds suitable styles.

- Ability to be able to copy Setlist entries from one set list to another.
- Accurate countdown Progress bar while loading/saving files (i.e. *.sets)
- Add more file operations such as ‘select/select-all/move/ controls.
- Add built-in Wi-Fi built so we can load and save .Sets and other styles and sounds, songs, etc. and recorded songs to/from Dropbox and other locations.
- Option to browse files on a USB stick for styles, songs, sounds and open them directly in the pa4x.
